Dr. Amanda Merritt
Dr. Amanda Merritt is a south Georgia native, born and raised in the Valdosta area. She graduated 3rd in her class from Berrien High School and went on to attend Valdosta State University where she graduated Cum Laude. In 2005, she earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry. Dr. Merritt then completed a General Practice residency, a prestigious program where she received training in implant dentistry and sedation dentistry. Dr. Merritt joined Dental Partners of Southwest Georgia in 2009. Prior to that time, she practiced in Fitzgerald and Valdosta.
Dr. Merritt is a member of the American Dental Association, the Georgia Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry. She served as the President of the Southwestern District of the Georgia Dental Association from 2011-2012.
Giving back to her community through volunteer work is important to Dr. Merritt. She's involved with Give Kids A Smile and numerous other free dental clinics. Dr. Merritt is married to Jay Merritt of Fitzgerald. They have two children, Dalton and Annabelle.
